own initial idea

My favourite genre of film is science fiction so I was always going to be interested in creating a sci-fi film, i came up with the idea of a post-apocalyptic style film where a man and his dog were left to attempt to survive in an almost empty world, the story would have many twists and turns with the main characters life on the edge at many points during the film. The opening sequence would include a brief introduction to the main character and his dog and the danger and risk created by the 'empty world'.Influences of idea came from I Am Legend, The Road and Children of Men
